Lars Liljengren, the oldest and last brother to emigrate to the U.S. He lived out his remaining days in Minneapolis.

Family of Jöns Liljengren, taken around 1900 in Minneapolis. Jöns emigrated (with his family) from Sweden about five years after his younger brother, Nils Petter.

This is the only photo we have found that has Nils Petter Liljengren in it. All other family photos were after his untimely death in 1903. Photo was taken in Minneapolis around 1887 when N.P. was at the peak of his business career.

This is the most recent photo we have of Nils Petter’s family, which was taken around 1922 in Minneapolis.

The Tönnersjö Church, where the Bengtsson/Liljengren brothers were baptized. This is the first reunion of N.P.’s descendants from both the U.S. and Sweden. On the far left is Henrik Carlsson, great-grandson to Nils and resident of Göteborg. Next to him is Henrik’s son Magnus. Dave Lilligren is in the middle (another great-grandson of N.P.), with his daughter Hannah next to him. The two ladies wearing hats are Henrik’s sisters (great-granddaughters of N.P.) – Inger and Gunnel (who passed in 2018). The young girl is Magnus’s daughter, with Henrik’s wife Barbro behind her. The lady on the far right is Dave’s wife, Bel.
